Dear Fellow Artist,
Island Gallery and Studios an award winning fine art gallery, which has now been in business for more than thirty-three years. It operates as a cooperative that is managed and run by the members exclusively.
And now, for the first time, we are expanding our artist base by offering an invitation, on a very limited basis, for artists to share in our success and to serve as Guest Artists. All mediums will be considered, including two and three dimensional works.
As a Guest Artist you will be offered a display area for hanging your art work for a period of one or two months at the cost of $150.00/per month for a single space (4’ x 8’), $200 for 1 ½ space (6’ x 8’) or $250 for a double space (8’ x 8’) payable in advance. In addition, a 30% commission will be assessed for all sales generated by the Gallery.
For this,
• You will be advertised in our monthly Newsletter, which reaches more than 500 art collectors.
• You will be featured on our website.
• You will be able to select your own space from among the available spaces.
• You will not be required to work at the Gallery, nor will you be required to attend meetings or join a committee.
However,
• You will have no voting rights at the Gallery.
• You will be required to replace any sold artwork within 48 hours (all artwork will be installed and/or removed during regular business hours).
• Your admission is dependent upon submitting your application and artwork in an email, which will be reviewed by a membership jury.
So, whether you are a new artist, or if you are one who has been creating art for many years, this is a great opportunity to exhibit your work without the extra responsibilities of committing to a co-op. However, this offer is applicable to only a few spaces each month.
For more information, please contact sbokos@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Membership Committee
Island Gallery and Studios
