Lynn Coppinger

I have had the opportunity of being the graphics editor at a local newspaper, an art director at a major printing company, and then a long career as the managing editor of a global medical publishing company. My amazing career as editor afforded me the opportunity to travel, meet incredible people, and I loved every minute of those 25 years. However, being creative took a back seat in a technical environment.

After retiring, the love and passion for art (in every form and medium) came flooding back and the need to create became paramount. Oils, acrylics, alcohol inks, graphite, colored pencils, watercolor, glass, and calligraphy pens are my new playmates.

Mary Roff

A true love of the creative arts has had me on a life journey exploring many wonderful mediums: bookbinding, papermaking, glass bead making, quilting, painting, beading, nature printing, weaving, dyeing silk, photography and enameling are a few of the many creative endeavors I’ve enjoyed.

Seven years ago, when Art Center Manatee opened their jewelry design studio with classes in basic jewelry making, I discovered a new passion working with fine metals and natural stones. The sterling silver jewelry I make now is simple and timeless emphasizing the beauty of the natural stones I use. In my jewelry you will discover small gemstone cabochons like amethyst and topaz or, my personal favorite, the jaspers that seem to be nature’s little works of abstract art. In my torch fired enamels you will see my love of color and simple lines.

Debbie Snow

Painting has always been a love of mine. Being able to take everyday moments and create a piece that will last forever. Whether it be in the whimsy of a plate of donuts, or making sure a bouquet of flowers will live forever. Each painting is a glimpse into a moment that has caught my attention, and will hopefully stay with you.

Cheryl Sudbury-Buerger

“Art can tell a story, express an emotion and mirror the harmonious dance of nature.”
Cheryl Sudbury-Buerger

Cheryl embraces her life journey with art at its core. Her creative endeavors span stained glass, fabrics, ceramics, woodworking, writing, photography, as well as watercolors and acrylics. Her paintings have been exhibited in several galleries and community exhibits, including a juried exhibition at the Art Museum of Florida International University in Miami, FL.

During her 15-year teaching career, Cheryl brought creativity into the classroom, inspiring her students through artistic expression. Later, in her 17 years with a Miami marketing and advertising agency, she expanded her artistic growth through roles in art direction, copywriting, and creative directing. This experience offered her opportunities for international travel, where, camera in hand, she learned from seasoned photographers and created her own private portfolio—filled with images just waiting to be transformed into paintings.

In 2002, Cheryl moved from Miami to a 7-acre ranch in Sarasota, where the local flora and fauna became an endless source of inspiration for her work. Now retired, she recently moved to a 5-acres property in Parrish, FL and discovering new sources of inspiration. Cheryl finds peace in Florida’s natural habitats, vegetation, and landscapes. She seeks out niches that, like her photographs, still reflect the essence of “Old Florida.” Painting from the heart, she shares nature’s beauty through vibrant color and rich texture.

“I paint mostly from my photography,” says Cheryl. “I love the simple beauty of nature and find the fluid, graceful lines of flowers an art in itself. The capturing of a mood. The blending of color. The symphony a field of flowers can create. I learn from each painting. Always a new challenge, new techniques and experiences that allow me to grow as an artist.”

Cheryl is a member of the Parrish Art Council and Arts Advocates in Sarasota. She was on the board and an active member of The Island Gallery and Studios in Bradenton, Florida. She currently has an on-property Gallery (by appointment only) in Parrish Florida where you can view and purchase original paintings, giclees, prints and cards.

Susan Swanson

Susan calls her ceramics: “My Imagination at Work. Handbuilt and Colorful.” In her Bradenton studio, she creates a range of innovative pieces, from decorative wall plaques and fantasy birds and fish to artful bowls and other unique pieces. “Of all the mediums I have used over the years, clay has always been my favorite. It is perfect for all of my whimsical ideas. I’ve always been fascinated by the way clay can go from soft and pliable to firm and how it accepts textures and can be molded into a shape,” she relates.

David Tejada

To David, photography is a dance with light and shadow, an exploration of patterns and contrasts and a celebration of the fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. Each photograph is a testament to his fascination with the graphic elements that shape our visual world, whether it’s the play of light on a city street, the geometry of architecture, or the interplay of textures in nature.

Through his lens, he invites viewers to see the world through a different perspective, to appreciate the inherent artistry in the world around us. His photographs are a testament to the power of observation, the ability to find artistry in the everyday, and the joy of capturing the world’s graphic beauty.
